Property for rent in Ukraine
If you are thinking of moving and you are looking for a property for rent in Ukraine, you should know that supply currently exceeds demand, it is the reason for which the prices of properties for rent in Ukraine are bound to fall.
However, utility costs are very high and this is a negative factor for the rental property market in Ukraine.
The largest number of property for rent’s requests in Ukraine are made in the capital Kiev but the available properties are dated and almost no new buildings exist. The few housing units under construction already see a forecast of the rent increase of at least 3%.
In Kiev there are two dominant markets concerning properties for rent: one is the rental property market that caters to expatriates and the broader market that caters to the local population.
Most expatriates look for properties for rent in the area around the Golden Gate where embassies and international organizations are located. Foreigners, on the other hand, prefer to look for properties for rent in areas closer to the metro station such as Yaroslaviv Val, Reitarska, Lysenka and Zolotovoritska.
Kiev is a city in great demand for properties for rent because it is one of the "greenest" capitals in Europe.
In Kiev the prices of rental properties are decreasing in the districts of Dniprovsky, Obolonsky and Podilsky.
Instead, they are unchanged in the Svyatoshyiusky districts. In Pechersky they increased by 4% and for Desniansky the increases in rental properties are around 3.8%.
